I'm Jaime Taveras, LMFT — a licensed therapist helping adults, children, and couples heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves through compassionate virtual therapy.

About Jaime
Hi, I'm Jaime Taveras, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in New York. I was born and raised in New York by Dominican parents, and I'm also a mother to a 13-year-old daughter. My path to becoming a therapist was deeply personal. After being in a relationship that led me to look inward, I began exploring my own patterns, my history, and the parts of myself I hadn't fully understood. That process changed my life.
Through that experience, I developed a deep connection to this work. It led me to pursue graduate school and become a therapist so I could support others in reconnecting with themselves in the same way I did.
I believe therapy should feel like a real, human conversation — not something clinical or distant. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping you slow down, understand your patterns, and reconnect with yourself. I also integrate an understanding of the nervous system and how your experiences live in the body.
Whether you're feeling stuck, navigating relationship challenges, or simply not feeling like yourself, you don't have to figure it out alone. I'm here to walk alongside you as you gain clarity, build self-trust, and create meaningful change. All sessions are held virtually, so you can access support from the comfort of your own space.
